Ever since I worked in pre-schools and/or daycares while going to college, I have loved light tables. I think they are fascinating and great addition to certain play items for continued learning of colors, spacial relations, fine and gross motor skills.
However, they can also run $250-500. Mmmmm, so…… I found some really cool ideas on Pinterest involving clear tupperware and white holiday lights to create your own light box. My problem was lights getting hot on plastic and I couldn’t find a lid without any indentations.
Not sure how I came about it but then I thought “x-rays!” Little searching on Craigslist for a month or so and finally found a rather large one for cheap!
She loves it. So do that cats. Yesterday she told me she was making “kites and houses” and that “yellow and blue make green! Just like me bath!” Which she has learned through the color fizz tablets for the bathtub but I love how the connection continues to be made.
For Christmas, I think Santa should bring some animal x-rays and veterinarian toys.
